Satellites enable communication, navigation, and remote sensing among other essential functions that are so commonplace that we take them for granted. However, as our dependence on satellites increases, so does the problem that they pose in Earth's orbit.

We were not designed for ceaseless, uninterrupted operation. Instead, when we define our limits and (ironically) harness the power of unplugging, it can be a tool for productivity, inspiration, and rejuvenation.

As the summer winds down and the next semester of school quickly approaches, I can’t help but reflect on all of the invaluable experiences and all of the technical skills and concepts I’ve learned over the past 10 weeks interning at Millennial Software.

We’re kicking off our first company-wide bookclub with an internal favorite: Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. We choose this book because every time we would meet in person, we realized that a certain genre and book series was consistently brought up.

Throughout this internship so far, I’ve had the opportunity to work with many aspects of software engineering such as containers, kubernetes, web frameworks such as Flask, and many other tools and been able to apply them and develop innovative solutions for my project that I have been working on.

When you work at a company of young engineers, you know there is bound to be more than a few comicbook fans. This is especially true for us here at Millennial Software, as our team holds a certain excitement for these movies.
